The Raincliffe
is a 14 bedroomed guest house with many features of a small hotel.
Built in 1888 this building retains much of its period charm and
is located in a genuinely convenient location for all attractions
and amenities.
Malcolm and
Katherine are entering their fifth year at the Raincliffe. Every
aspect of the day to day running is undertaken by the proprietors
with cleanliness and attention to detail being given the highest
priority. A recent extension to the hotel coupled with substantial
improvements ensures the total comfort and safety of all guests.
Your stay will be unsurpassed in every aspect. They are highly recommended

The dining room
is light and airy and attractively furnished in Sanderson designs.
This is the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or evening
meal. Sample plentiful home cooked fayre all freshly prepared
on the premises by the proprietor. There is a small residents
bar and a spacious and comfortable residents lounge to relax
and unwind in. The new south facing patio overlooks the front garden
why not enjoy a cold drink or watch the world go by?
The letting
rooms are all immaculate with new en suites and quality beds with
deep mattresses. Many rooms have large shower cubicles and king
size beds and all are individually decorated. There is an attractive
king size mahogany 4 poster adorned with period style furnishings.
Flowers and wine are available on request. There is a brand new
ground floor room with a king size bed and walk in bay window.
The Raincliffe
is the perfect base for exploring nearby towns, heritage sites,
golf courses, horse racing venues, walking the Cleveland Way or
touring the beautiful surrounding countryside of the moors and coast
region.
