Scarborough, a beautiful coastal town
Relive those cherished memories of carefree seaside holidays from days gone by, with glorious days spent on the beach, at the fairground amusements, proper fish and chips, and Ice Cream!
Of course there’s a lot more to do in and around Scarborough with its historic castle, theatres and restaurants, TV and film locations and proximity to the stunning North York Moors national park. However the real key to making wonderful memories for you and your family is choosing the right place to stay – somewhere you will be guaranteed exceptional service, a peaceful night’s sleep, delicious food, and a relaxing bar and lounge, all within a stone’s throw of the town’s sights and sounds and at a fair and competitive price.
Guests old and new all receive the same warm hospitality from Sarah & Simon, with many couples and families, returning time and time again.

Location
Location is naturally a hugely important factor when you’re choosing accommodation for your visit, and Raincliffe Hotel is perfectly situated, only 10 mins walk from the town and beautiful South Bay.
Victorian grandeur
Built in the 1880's, the hotel boasts lovely original features in the lounge, dining area and hallway including cornicing, marble fireplace, wooden floors and an original staircase that spirals up the middle of the building.
With 14 en-suite rooms situated on the first and second floors (please be advised that we do not have a lift) including options for single, twin, double, king-size, family and even a Four Poster for those special occasions. No two rooms are the same and all are immaculately clean and comfortable furnished and decorated sympathetically to the age of the building.
Our bar and lounge and outdoor terrace offers the ideal spot for an early evening drink (a good variety of wines and beer at reasonable prices) before you head out for your night’s entertainment.
