When you book your hotel accommodation you enter into a legally binding contract subject to the conditions set out below. It is in your own interest to read them carefully.
We require valid credit or debit card details for ALL reservations made, without card details bookings are voided. A non-refundable deposit equivalent to the first night’s stay may be required to secure reservations. We accept most major credit cards. There is no charge for debit cards, but an additional charge of 3% will be made for credit cards and all non-UK credit and debit card transactions. We will send you an email or letter confirming the booking and the outstanding balance. The balance is due on departure.
Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract. In the event of less than 14 notice of cancellation we reserve the right to charge a one night cancellation fee if a one night deposit has not already been taken. In the case of less than seven days notice, we reserve the right to charge the full cost of the stay. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. We reserve the right to alter room allocations if necessary and no refunds/reductions will be given for meals booked and not taken.
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Please note, we reserve the right to refuse one night bookings at certain busy times, i.e. during Bank Holidays, Festival and on-season weekends. However, there may, on occasion, be some last minute availability. Please phone for further information.
All our bedrooms, en suites, upper floors and public areas are non-smoking areas – it is against the law to smoke in any part of this building. If any guest is found smoking in the hotel or evidence of smoking having taken place in the hotel rooms the guest concerned will be asked to leave. We as the proprietors reserve the right to levy a £75.00 charge for materials and labour to clean the fabrics and furnishings and any additional charges for the replacement of our property if it is damaged through burn marks due to cigarettes. There may be a further charge of one nights stay to cover our losses due to an inability to let the room on the following day with further charges if the room has to remain empty (and therefore further bookings have to be cancelled) to carry out further cleaning/remedial work.
The replacement value or dry cleaning costs for all linen, upholstery, carpets, furniture and wall coverings that are irreversibly stained will be charged for, e.g. ink, lucozade, mascara, liquid foundations, food dyes, sick, bleach, blood, hair dye and shoe polish. Guests will be required to pay for any loss or damage to furniture or equipment provided in accommodation. Guests are required to report to us immediately any details of any damages to furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects to enable replacement/reimbursement to be arranged.
We reserve the right to evict any persons causing nuisance or disturbance at any time during their stay without liability or refund. Only the persons stated on the booking in card will be permitted to occupy the hotel bedrooms, all non residents must use the lounge on the ground floor. The tariff is calculated with VAT at 20%. If there is any rise in the rate, an increase may be applicable.
On receipt of your deposit or credit card/debit details these terms and conditions are legally binding; we accept that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and abide by them.
